Installation and Maintenance

  • Installation of the ACiQ Central Ducted Air Handler is straightforward, similar to replacing any air handler. Your technician will handle electrical, refrigerant, thermostat, and communication connections, and connect it to your return and supply ductwork. This multi-positional air handler (upflow, downflow, or horizontal) is also mobile-home approved. While any 24V thermostat with two stages of heating can control the system, the supplied thermostat is recommended for optimal performance. For extra cold days, you can add electric strip heat as a backup. The intelligent control board displays fault codes for easy maintenance.

**Please note – in order to function as a heat pump system, this air handler must be installed with a condenser and other installation equipment. To use straight electric heating, an electric heater coil is necessary.**
