ACiQ Dealer of the Month May 2026: Kings of Mini Splits

Kings of Mini Splits. Five years. Hundreds of installs. One gold-level partnership. Meet the Central Florida contractors who built their kingdom one mini-split at a time.

Every great business starts somewhere. For Kings of Mini Splits, Dallas, one of the two co-owners states that it started in a garage.

Jesus, owner of Kings of Mini Splits, wanted to cool his garage with a mini split—simple enough in theory, but neither he nor Dallas, his partner, had ever installed one before. They figured it out, and that first success led to more projects: they added mini splits to sheds, lanais, and other spaces of their own. With each install, their confidence grew. What started as a one-off project turned into something bigger, and before long, they were asking themselves: why not do this for other people too?

Five years later, Kings of Mini Splits is one of Central Florida’s most respected ductless HVAC contractors, and ACiQ’s Dealer of the Month for May 2026.

Who Are the Kings of Mini Splits?

Dallas and Jesus founded it together, and they run it together. There’s no outside backing, no franchise model, no absentee ownership. What there is: over 25 years of combined HVAC industry experience between the founders, a team of dedicated technicians, and a physical storefront.

The “Kings” in the name is intentional. Jesus holds a Class B HVAC contractor’s license and brings an engineering background in HVAC and electrical, while Dallas oversees day-to-day operations and installation management. That combination gives Kings of Mini Splits a range that most small contractors can’t match: residential single zone installs, large multi zone systems, commercial buildings, and even institutional projects. They’re even currently talking about installing heating and cooling systems in several schools in Sumpter County.

The team has grown steadily since those early days of figuring out garage installs on their own. Today, Kings of Mini Splits runs multiple service vehicles, two Chevy Express cargo vans, and a pickup, and is actively planning to add another vehicle and another employee before year’s end.

Where do the Kings of Mini Splits Work?

Kings of Mini Splits is based in Leesburg, Florida, and their service footprint covers a substantial stretch of Central Florida — from Orlando to Ocala. That includes Orange County, Seminole County, and parts of Volusia County. But the market that’s defined much of their growth? The Villages.

If you work in Central Florida HVAC, you already know what The Villages represents. It’s one of the fastest-growing master-planned communities in the country, with around 2,000 new homes built each year and enough planned development, by some estimates, to keep builders busy for the next 25 years. Kings of Mini Splits has established a strong presence there, installing systems in lanais, garages, master bedrooms, and casitas. They’ve done it all in that market, and the demand for them and their mini splits shows no signs of slowing down. Repeat business and referrals are the lifeblood of any residential HVAC operation, and Kings of Mini Splits has earned both.

What They Do & Their Philosophy

The name says mini splits, and that is intentional. About 99% of Kings of Mini Splits’ work is focused on ductless systems, built around delivering comfort exactly where it is needed.

Central AC systems cool an entire home from a single thermostat, often missing problem areas like hot bedrooms, garages, or lanais. Mini splits solve that with targeted cooling and better efficiency. At the same time, as demand has grown, Kings of Mini Splits has expanded into central ducted systems, applying the same attention to detail to every install.

Where They Install Mini Splits & Other HVAC Equipment

Kings of Mini Splits focuses on real-world applications they handle every day across Central Florida, especially in The Villages.

  • Residential Homes: Cooling master bedrooms that stay hot at night, bonus rooms over garages, and home additions like game rooms that were never tied into the main system.
  • Lanais and Open Spaces: Installing ceiling cassette units in covered lanais so homeowners can use the space during Florida summers without bulky wall units.
  • Garages: Converting garages into livable spaces, workshops, or climate-controlled storage for tools, equipment, and classic cars.
  • Tack Rooms: Controlling heat and humidity in equestrian tack rooms to protect saddles, bridles, and leather gear from mold and moisture damage.
  • Commercial Projects: Taking on jobs like school spaces and small commercial buildings where targeted cooling or supplemental systems are needed.

These are not one-off installs. They are repeat use cases that Kings of Mini Splits has built its business around.

Kings of Mini Splits Partnership with ACiQ

Kings of Mini Splits installs ACiQ almost exclusively. When a customer does not request a specific brand, the answer is ACiQ. Dallas put it simply. If he were installing a brand new system in his own home today, it would be ACiQ. That is not a sales line. That is how they operate.

Why Kings of Mini Splits Chooses ACiQ

ACiQ’s performance record backs that up, with a reported 0.03% failure rate, and most of those issues are tied to installation rather than equipment. For a contractor, that matters. Fewer callbacks mean fewer lost hours, fewer headaches, and a stronger reputation with every job completed.

The equipment is also built for climates like Central Florida. Inverter-driven compressors allow systems to ramp up and down instead of constantly turning on and off. This helps maintain consistent temperatures, reduce energy use, and extend the homeowner’s system life.

How the ACiQ Dealer Program Supports Their Growth

Kings of Mini Splits is part of the ACiQ dealer program, but for them, it goes beyond standard perks. As their business has grown, they have gained access to marketing support, faster equipment availability, and priority technical support, helping them keep installs moving and customers satisfied.

Beyond the operational benefits, what Dallas consistently points to is the relationship. ACiQ gave Kings of Mini Splits a real opportunity when they were still building the business. Kevin, ACiQ’s owner, has been personally accessible and involved. Kings of Mini Splits has even completed work on his own Florida property, which speaks volumes about the level of trust on both sides.

As a Gold Level ACiQ dealer, they also have access to a dedicated technical support line. When something comes up, they are not waiting in a general queue or dealing with a call center. They are speaking directly with someone who understands the product and can help resolve the issue quickly.

That combination of hands-on support, real access, and operational advantages is what separates a standard vendor relationship from a true partnership, and it is a big reason Kings of Mini Splits continues to align so closely with ACiQ, and why we align with them.

How They Turn Every Install into Brand Growth

ACiQ’s private label program has been a key part of how Kings of Mini Splits has grown. Instead of installing equipment that promotes another brand, they can put their own name on every system. That gives them more visibility in the market and helps reinforce their reputation with every job they complete.

Combined with ACiQ’s support, product consistency, and availability, it allows them to focus on what they do best. Install quality systems, build trust with homeowners, and grow their business under their own name.

How They Do Business

Kings of Mini Splits has built its reputation around a straightforward, customer-first approach that shows up in how they handle every job.

  • Warranty Handled for the Customer: They take care of warranty registration because most manufacturers require licensed installation for coverage. Homeowners do not have to deal with the paperwork or risk missing anything.
  • No Diagnostic Fees: They diagnose the issue first and clearly explain the repair cost. The customer only pays if they choose to move forward, creating a trust-first experience from the start.
  • Discounts and Long-Term Support: They offer military and senior discounts, with a monthly maintenance plan in development. The plan is expected to include a lifetime warranty on covered equipment and two annual service visits.
  • Consistent Installation Standards: Every job is focused on proper sizing, clean installs, and correct system commissioning. With hundreds of installs completed, their experience shows in the final product.

That consistency, both in service and execution, is what keeps customers coming back and referring them to others.
